Franciene is a rural southern Illinois high school counselor with over 15 years of experience. She was named Illinois high school counselor of the year in 2014 and honored by ASCA in 2016 at the White House as the Illinois state representative for the School Counselor of the Year ceremony. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of IL, a National Certified Counselor and an ASCA Mental Health Specialist. Franciene blogs at School Counselor Space, has contributed to publications by CNN, NPR and Voice of a America, and is a frequent and well respected national presenter who is passionate about helping school counselors implement comprehensive school counseling programs that meet students' changing needs while supporting them to reach their greatest potential.

-To always remember everyone is going through something

-student behaviors are just a sign to let us know there is a story to be told
