Jeff’s work focuses on building kindness, compassion, inclusion, equity, and ways to help and inspire people in and out of education. He loves to speak with students and educators about the writing process, building mental health capacity for youth and adults, and SEL as a practice and mindset, not a program. Jeff has written 3 highly acclaimed books; One Drop of Kindness, It’s Me, and Monsters Have Manners.

Jeff is an educator, author, and speaker from Northern California. He served in schools as a teacher, Dean of Students, VP, and principal for over 25 years. He has also been a US Olympic Swim Team Alternate, Pan American Games Gold Medalist, and Coach of 4-time Olympian, Jason Lezak.

Jeff lives in Davis with his wife Piper; daughter Keeley, and son Braden. They love to travel as much as possible, especially to areas with beaches, water, and hiking trails.
